About Passons AI

AI Adoption without the overhaul.

Who is behind it

Omar Passons leads Passons AI. Before this he served as Deputy City Manager at the City of San Jose and as a Director in the County of San Diego Health and Human Services Agency. He has led and worked with the teams of people we build for, including the part where the work outran the hours. Passons AI grew out of that experience. Passons AI is a project that grew from Passons Consulting, a firm founded by Erin Passons that has been doing leadership and organizational work for over fifteen years. Omar holds a Juris Doctor from George Mason University School of Law and a Master's in Public Health from the University of Arizona College of Public Health.

The philosophy

The pitch most organizations get to adopt AI is the wrong one. It assumes you have time, budget, and bandwidth for a transformation. Most companies and organizations don't have that time. There is a better way.

Start with one task. Pick something repetitive, something a person already does regularly where the time it takes up is obvious. We build one small tool together that assists with that specific task. Measure the time it gives back. Then you decide what comes next.

That is the whole approach. No system overhaul, no platform changes or hours of consultant "discovery meetings" you don't have time for. The risk is small because the scope is small, and because you were able to co-design quickly in a measurable way.

Our services. We meet you where you are.

Most people begin with one task and one workflow. The work can stay there, or it can grow into something larger. These three engagements are designed to meet you at the right scope.

One task that costs you real time. We build a workflow that handles it, you keep the tool. $4,500, two weeks, no lengthy process.

Skill Building and Practice

Workshops, office hours, and guided practice for teams who want to build real habits. The goal is staff who know how to use AI tools for their own work and can keep going after the session ends.

AI Direction Setting

Where do you want your organization to land on AI use, and what would it take to get there? This is the work of clarifying intent, assessing readiness, and building a path that fits how your organization operates.

Workflow Pilot

The fastest place to start. Pick one task that costs you real time: grant triage, meeting notes to action items, routine report drafting, intake form summarization. We build a workflow that handles it. You keep the tool. $4,500, paid by P-card. Two weeks from scope to handoff. Intentionally designed for P-card or expedited purchasing.

Skill Building and Practice

Awareness sessions and one-time training rarely stick. This work is designed for teams that want to build genuine habits: knowing how to structure a prompt, how to build a reusable tool for their own workflow, and how to evaluate whether AI is helping. Delivered as workshops, office hours, and hands-on practice sessions that staff can return to.

AI Direction Setting

For organizations that want to move deliberately on AI, not chase every tool, and not get left behind either. This engagement clarifies where the organization is now, what leadership wants from AI adoption, and what a realistic path looks like given how the organization operates. Omar has led this work inside government and in advisory roles with private and mission-driven organizations.

A note from Omar

I spent years leading teams where the work outran the hours available almost every week. The teams were constantly exhausted and felt the pressure to do more, usually with less. I realized that the right technology could enhance workers rather than replace them and give them more balance and productivity at the same time. That realization led to Passons AI.

These three examples make the case concrete. They are cases for which we have personally seen the payoff happen quickly.

Our work is geared towards helping organizations who want to move quickly but thoughtfully as they incorporate AI into their workflows.
